They have consistently produced champions at the
major shows for over thirty years.
For their outstanding contribution to animal
breeding in Scotland, Tom Best and David Blair
[pictured below] were
awarded the prestigious Sir David
Young
Award by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society at a
presentation in July 2005.
The Stud is based at Waxwing Farm which is also
the base for Miss Margaret Gethin's Mynach ponies. It is
situated a mile outside the village of Saline, tucked away in
the beautiful southwest corner of Fife near the borders of
Clackmannan and Perth & Kinross. It commands stunning views west
to Stirling and south over the River Forth. The nearest town,
Dunfermline, was the former capital of Scotland.
Lying within the central belt of Scotland, Saline
is just 20 miles (32km) northwest of the capital city of
Edinburgh and within an hour's drive of the Glasgow, Stirling,
Perth and Dundee. It is perfectly placed for travel throughout
