Foals for sale

Each year we like to offer buyers a selection of foals bred at the stud so would invite you to look at our foal page and get back to us about any that may interest you. Most of them will be for sale and past purchases have included many ponies that have won in the show ring with a good number qualifying for HOYS. They come from the best of bloodlines and are excellent prospects for the show ring for both in hand and through time ridden classes. Currently our stallions do not stand at public stud so their foal progeny can only be purchased from us.

2011 Foals

As the stud now does very limited showing and also in an attempt not to increase numbers, we are offering the entire crop of 2011 foals. Please see foal page.

Well grown three-year-olds with HOYS potential ready for breaking

Waxwing Trinket (Welsh Sec A)                                   HOYS potential

Sire: Synod Montana

A free mover with excellent conformation, this filly is sure to be a successful pony under saddle. Her dam was also dam of the HOYS M&M lead rein qualifier and Heritage novice champion, Waxwing Tiffany. Sire a big winner under saddle this season with Team Hollings. Reasonably priced to a good home.

Llwyfo Terry (Welsh Sec A)                                            HOYS potential

Sire: Blackhill Picalo

Purchased as a yearling, he was shown successfully only twice when he was youngstock champion at the Scottish NPS and reserve overall champion Welsh Sec A at the Royal Highland. He was gelded to make room for our palomino stallion, Blanche Mikado, and not used for stud duties. He has the most marvellous temperament and is the most brilliant mover. He will go on to do well in any sphere. Again, reasonably priced to a good home

Molgarnedd Twlip (Welsh Sec B)                                   HOYS potential

Sire: Glansevin Graffiti

This striking, well grown filly has a huge future under saddle like her sire. A good free mover, she has masses of substance and height, the likes of which you seldom find in the section B. She is unmistakably Welsh in type and should appeal to the ridden M&M judges.

Waxwing Lapel

by Eyarth Beau Geste out of Cottrell Lapwing by Rotherwood State Occasion.

This quality 4 year old Welsh Section B gelding has a great future ahead of him in the ridden classes and will surely go to the top. He is ideally suited to M & M 1st Ridden classes but would also do well in Junior Ridden, Open Ridden or WHP.

‘Pele’ combines excellent conformation with balanced, straight paces, clean flat bone and good feet. He has a lovely front with a pretty head and tiny ears. He has been very successful in-hand whilst not being over produced.

This lovely gentle pony has a superb temperament and is a pleasure to deal with in all respects. Only for sale to a knowledgeable home where his education can be established and his potential realised.
